IMPACT

Making impacts is having effects on people, places and things around us. The need to make impacts has been a foundation which some students tend to build on, which is why we have to be sincere with ourselves with the decisions we make. Our decisions either make or mar us, they build

or destroy our “building” of integrity. I have always had the “pull and push” towards making impact on the society through my life. So many people have left their impacts on us, which form part of basis with which we stat our life structure on. It is not just making impact that matters, making positive ones are paramount. Many are deluded by happenings around them, by the Government, by friends, by their parents, even the environment they find themselves in, not knowing exactly what they want, they dive into anything that comes their way. I am a person that has come to like the word “Change”, because I believe that in this world we are in, there are things that needs to be changed and put into place, to make this world a better place. As youths, we have to correct the mistakes of our “fathers” and in the case where mistakes cannot be corrected, we have to make conscious efforts not to repeat such mistakes. Compilation of mistakes causes error. In every area of life that I find myself, I know there will always be something ingenious in me that I can contribute for the betterment of that particular area of life, which I have found myself in the science and technology aspect of life, though, Government in view; I know that as time goes on and as I continue to gather information and knowledge from every angle, I will be able to make life of man better, with God on my side. Not everybody will agree with this philosophy, but I believe living life is living for others and not for ourselves alone, this is why I have give the acronym L.I.F.E to mean Living For Everyone. I am not in this world for selfish interests, not getting educated for my selfish interests, but because I want to be of help to the community and the world at large. To start with, if there had’nt been people who left footpaths that I can thread on, I won’t be so interested or filled with the need of impsct. To ensure that the generations coming have legacies that can serve as compass for them through life, we have to make sure that we have impact on the younger generation; positive impacts. Going extra miles to proffer innovative solutions to world’s problem, in our field and other areas of life, as the case may or as the need arises. Growing is war, living life can be likened to being in a battlefield. To be triumphant and be among the victorious ones, one has to be led by the General Commander(GOD) and not just being led, but also obey Him. It is worthy of note that, many have lost course due to negligence of obeying the General Commander. Having impacts on others cannot be smooth sailing, thee will be skeptics and critics. It would be like a movement on a rough and coarse surface, but a course, by which any positive mean, I am ready to take, so as to leave impact on this generation and generations to come. We cannot live forever, but whatever impact made, will be felt forever. These impacts, I am sure will tell on the community,country and mankind at large. Ultimately, it has been like a mantra to me, that I must not leave mother earth loaded, but empty, I must not leave without making positive impacts on people find myself with or places I find myself in.
